2020 F-150 & Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control

Question:

I need some help with an equalizer hitch, 2020 Ford F150 tow vehicle, 2021 Grand Design 17 MKE trailer Estimated tongue weight 600 lbs trailer weight loaded estimated 7500 lbs. The current wet up I have is an older draw tight with chain lift bars and a anti sway bar on the side. i am getting a lot of bucking and light front end feeling on the truck. Not an actual moving sway but a real sway feeling in the cab especially in any wind... I feel I may need to upgrade to a better hitch set-up...what do you suggest for this size of rig for the best ride and control Thanks so much I have installed Timbrens I bought from you that helped a little but still not great for this sized trailer

For what you have described I suggest the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37100ET. This is for a trailer tongue weight from 600 lbs to 1,000 lbs. If you have an estimated loaded trailer weight at 7,500 lbs. then I think you may be underestimating your tongue weight. A TW is generally speaking 10-15% of properly loaded trailer. This hitch has steel-on-steel friction to prevent and correct trailer sway in this unique weight distribution system. Sway control brackets ensure that your trailer stays in line with your tow vehicle.

Maybe consider driving across scales at a local truck stop to get best numbers. I have done this regularly when setting up a new tow vehicle and trailer myself. You could also use a tongue weight scale like the # e99044.
