Dirt Bike Carrier With Car Tow Dolly on Class C Motorhome
Question:
Hopefully you can help me. I’m looking to carry a dirt bike on my class c RV. I currently tow dolly a car. Just curious if there is a way to hook up a dirt bike carrier along with the dolly out for to go about it. Thank you

Because the front of vehicle will be slightly raised while situated on the tow dolly, you would not want to a hitch at the rear of the towed vehicle, this downward angle would probably cause drag issues. One option and the most straight forward, would be to go with an adapter such as # D210. This has a lower hitch for the tow dolly and then a higher opening for accessories. You will need to verify weight ratings and fitment of dirt bike and current components such as tow dolly against this items ratings. When mounting an accessory in this receiver, your hitch's tongue weight capacity will be reduced by 50 percent. When using both the ball mount and the receiver the tongue weight capacity is not affected.
The etrailer Motorcycle Carrier w/ Ramp for 2" Hitch - 76" Long - Steel - 500 lbs # e98873 is the carrier that I recommend. Detachable ramp makes loading and unloading your bike easy, and a stop collar lets you quickly install the carrier without having to align hitch pin holes.
Another option is to mount a front mount hitch to your motorhome, this is of course dependent on your particular motorhome if available. An example is the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 65001; then use the same motorcycle carrier as previously suggested. If you want to go this route let me know and we can use the fit guide to locate the correct the hitch for your vehicle. While this is a viable option, I prefer the first suggestion over this due to the amount weight placed on front of vehicle and effects on steering.
Hopefully one of these options will work for you, please consider the weight limitations for each so as to move forward safely while towing your cargo. If you choose the front mount hitch, please let us know your particular vehicle and we will be recommend a custom fit hitch for you.
