Curt Stabilizing Strap for Adjustable Width RV Hitch # 13703
Question:
In the product write up what does this mean? Warning: All non-trailer loads bike racks, cargo carriers, etc. applied to this product must be supported by auxiliary stabilizing straps. For use with RV-approved accessories only. I plan on using one of your cargo carriers , the one thats 32x48 . I will have about 120 lbs of cargo strapped to it

Per the warranty of the Curt # 13703, a stabilizing strap like part # 18050 would need to be used for hitch accessories like bike racks or cargo carriers. The strap is designed to provide additional support for the hitch mounted accessory. Curt has the same warranty stipulation on their Class I and II passenger vehicle hitches (as well as some of the Class III's). Finding a place to attach the hook on the end of the strap is usually pretty simple, but can be more difficult with a motorhome.
Other RV trailer hitches, such as the Curt Adjustable Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13701 that fits frames 18 inches to 51 inches wide, do not have the same stabilization strap requirement.
If you click the provided link, you can see a video showing how the stabilizing strap is typically used. I have also linked you to the installation instructions for the hitches I recommended.
