Best Snow Tire Chains For 265/60-18 Tires on Toyota Tacoma
Question:
Dealing with ice and snow on Texas roads where there is no snow removal. My 2016 Tacoma 4x4 Limited is equipped with P265R60-18 tires. Toyota only recommends chains on the rear tires. What chains would you recommends for ice covered hilly roads? Do you agree to only install them on the rear tires? Thanks

Since you live in an area without snow removal, you will definitely need a good pair of snow tire chains for the 265/60-18 tires on your Toyota Tacoma, and we do recommend following the guidelines set by the owner's manual, which is to install them on your rear tires. For the best option, the chains I recommend are from Konig:
- Konig Standard Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - D Link # TH01571265
I really like these chains for a number of reasons, starting with their diamond pattern. That's important because that type of pattern offers the most overall coverage for your tires; the chains will cover the tires at multiple different angles, which helps ensure the best grip. Adding to that is the D-links the chain have, and that is the best type of link for optimal traction on both snow and ice, so you can more easily maneuver through any type of weather that you'll encounter.
These Konig chains also have integrated tensioners to ensure the tightest fit, and are easier to install than other chains due to their color-coded connection points, so you'll spend less time outside in the cold when putting them on your Tacoma.
I have added a link below to a video review for you to check out as well of the Konig Standard Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - D Link # TH01571265.
