Recommended Trailer Hitch and Wiring for 2006 Ford Mustang
Question:
Hello. Can you tell me if the if the top of the ball to the ground would be 15? I am getting a small 6x8 trailer weighing less that 800 lbs so i think it will meet the weight requirements, however i am not sure about the height from the top of the ball to the ground. Runaway Trailers told me the ball should be 15inch from the ground. Just want to be sure before i order. Thanks, Mike

The trailer hitch I recommend for a 2006 Ford Mustang Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11312 which is a confirmed fit for V6 models. Then for a trailer wiring harness, the 4-Pole Hardwire Kit with Circuit Tester # 18252 would work well for you.
In order to complete the towing setup, you'll need the Draw-Tite Drawbar part # 3592 (Use in the rise position) and the 1-7/8" Hitch Ball part # 19256 or 2" Hitch Ball part # 19258. This setup will give you a hitch ball height of around 15" which will be perfect for your setup. Please note, you must use the above ball mount with said trailer hitch.
