There is only one hitch available for your 2010 VW Jetta (non TDI). We have the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # C11474. It is going to offer approximately 9-3/4 inches of ground clearance from the bottom of the receiver to the ground. This hitch would be safe and secure for towing a trailer up to 2,000 pounds.
The hitch not does come with the correct ball mount or a properly sized ball for the coupler on the trailer you plan to tow. For a ball mount use # C45520. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch use # 19258.
For trailer wiring, use # 118667. This is a T-One connector that plugs in line with the vehicle tail lights so it is easy to make the initial connections. It also requires a direct connection to the battery to power the trailer lights and protect the vehicles wiring harness. I have included a link to the wiring instructions as well.
