Can Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch 11011 Use 1/4 Inch Cable
Question:
Hello I’m looking to use Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch - Worm Gear - Hex Drive - 1,500 lbs for my purple Martin bird house. It’s a big house weighing approximately 60-70lb. The guy who made it has used 1/4inch cable. Please advise if this can be used with this particular winch. Also, is it advisable to use this as compared to dl14934. I’m attaching the picture of the birdhouse with the cable. Thank you

You are on the money with the cable that you need, which is 1/4 inch for the Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch # DL11011.
The correct cable for this winch is the Hand Winch Cable with Safety Hook 1/4" Diameter x 25' Long # DL24100 or 50' Long # DL24104.
This is a great winch for what you are looking to do compared to the other winch you mentioned, and I absolutely recommend it because it has an easy-to-use topwind handle which cranks in either direction for lowering and lifting and holds in place when you stop cranking.
I have added a link to a video review for you to check out as well of the Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch # DL11011.
