Roadmaster Base Plate for 2020 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk

I want to tow my 2020 Jeep Cherokee behind my motor home, it's a Trailhawk model and I like Roadmaster, which base plate should I get?

For your 2020 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk the Roadmaster base plate kit that's confirmed to fit and I recommend is the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-521451-5.
I like Roadmaster base plate kits more than any other I've installed. They seem to go on smoother, and have less drilling, modifying or obstacles to work around. When it is fully installed, it has a really clean look as well, the base plate replaces the factory tow hooks up front, and the arms are removable when your not towing. It also hooks up to the tow bar extremely easy. It connects directly to the tow bar, so there's no cross bar to set up, or find somewhere to store when your not towing.
The base plate is only one of the components you need to tow you Cherokee, if you need to complete the set up I recommend the following :

A supplemental braking system - SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # SM99251
A Charge line to keep your Cherokee's battery from draining - Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25
Safety cables, a plug for the diode wiring, and a connection cable are needed to hook up, but they are included with the tow bar I listed. Another component that you may need is a high low adapter. When you're towing you want the tow bar to be level as possible, however sometimes the hitch on the motor home doesn't line up perfectly with the base plate, to make up that difference the high low adapter is used.
I recommend planning the install before you start, the fascia will need to be temporarily removed so you want to have all your supplies and tools ready. The base plate will need Loctite Threadlocker on all the bolts you can use # LT37420. Also doing as much of the install at one time makes things easier. When the fascia is off it makes routing things that much easier and saves a lot of frustration.
