Ground Clearance Concerns with a Trailer Hitch Installed on a 2019 Ford Escape
Question:
I like the Draw-Tite Max-E-Loader Trailer Hitch Receiver for the 2019 Ford Escape but it looks like it hangs down low. will it scrape the ground?

When we installed the Draw-Tite Max-E-Loader Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75758 on a 2018 Ford Escape there was about 13-1/2 inches from the top of the receiver tube to the ground which should be the same for the 2019 Ford Escape give or take if there is a tire size difference. I don't see you having any issues with the hitch or your accessory scraping the ground with the Draw-Tite installed however it is a visible cross tube so it does hang down a bit lower than the other hitch options.
I recommend to go with the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75782 since you are concerned with ground clearance. The Draw-Tite hitch is a concealed cross tube design so it sits up higher once installed. The only portion of the hitch that is visible once installed is the receiver portion. The ground clearance on a 2018 Ford Escape is 16-1/2 inches so you shouldn't have any issues at all on a 2019. I have attached the installation videos of both hitches for your reference.
