How are Interior Lights of Trailer Typically Wired
Question:
Greetings, Im building a tear type trailer but have no idea how to wire the interior lights. Pretty simple, two porch lights, two interior lights in cabin, and two galley lights. All will run off an independent from the truck 12 volt battery that I plan to keep charged with solar. If I send in a sketch with dimensions, can you recommend ALL the parts I would need. Thank you.

We can definitely help get you going in the right direction with how to do the wiring as well as parts you may need.
For the most part on the trailer it will be running a power wire like part # 10-1-1 (sold by the foot) to all of the light assemblies and then another wire for the ground. Usually you can use just one wire as a feed wire from the 12 volt pin of your trailer connector and from there branch out to each of the assemblies as needed.
A better option would be installing the battery on the trailer and then using a solar panel charge kit like the # 34282183 which will keep the battery charged and also can power the lights. This prevents risking your vehicle battery from getting drained and leaving you stranded. For a battery on the trailer a deep cycle battery is best choice.
