Availability of Easy-to-Use Tow Bar
Question:
This looks very similar to the Blue Ox......is it in fact similar in the way it works? We were hoping for something easier.....like perhaps a ball hitch.

There are really easy to use options out there like the Demco Commander II # DM9511012 which has a non-binding design and arms that are really easy to operate. This installs directly into the trailer hitch receiver which makes it a little easier to install than one that attached to a hitch ball. The only problem is that this tow bar, like most other tow bars, weighs in at 41 lbs so it is a little hefty.
If ease of use for the tow bar is the only thing you are worried about then the Commander II is a great option to go with and I'd just need the year/make/model of the vehicle you are wanting to flat tow so I can get you a list of other equipment you need for flat towing.
Renting a vehicle can be nice because you don't have to deal with all of the setting up and securing everything that a flat towing setup calls for but it does mean that you are subject to some other extra steps for renting a car. It really just boils down to which situation you think is easier to handle for your circumstances.
