Comparing the Equal-i-zer and Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution Systems

Question:

I think I might be better off with the 10,000-15,000, I weighed the camper loaded and it was over 9,000, so between 900 and a 1000 lb. Tongue Weight

The Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems like part # EQ37100ET and the Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution Systems like part # C17500 both have four point sway control which simply means there are four points of friction; one in each socket head and one on each end of the spring bar. The main difference between them is the head construction; forged (Equal-i-zer) vs cast (Curt) and their warranty period; lifetime (Equal-i-zer) vs ten year (Curt). The forged head is much more durable. I might also add the Equal-i-zer is made in the USA and has a very good reputation for making quality weight distribution systems but I am sure you will be happy with either option.

If you let me know what your total tongue weight is I can make sure you get the correct size.

I concur, a higher rated weight distribution system like part # C17501 for the Curt TruTrack or part # EQ37140ET for the Equal-i-zer would be your best route. If you have a 9,000 lb - 10,000 lb trailer that means your tongue weight can be as low as 900 lbs or as high as 1,500 lbs. These two systems will be perfect for your trailer's tongue weight and are also two of the best ones on the market.
