Scissor Stabilizer Jacks For 2019 Aspen Trail 2480RBS

Question:

We have a 2019 Aspen Trail 2480RBS trailer. They have powered stabilizer jacks but not for providing lift, only to help stabilize. Does the Stabilizer Jacks to lift 5 000 lbs work on my trailer and where do I place them on back and front of trailer? I do not want to replace my current jacks that have electric power. Would like to use in conjunction. My wife goes crazy when I get up and walk around in the morning. I hope these would eliminate that? Which ones would you recommend, would like to get 4 jacks. Thank You

Yes, the Stromberg Carlson Leveling Scissor Jack part # JSC-24-IND are a great option to stabilize the trailer so that your wife can get her sleep while you are walking around in the trailer. The Stromberg Carlson jacks are more than enough capacity for your 2019 Aspen Trail 2480RBS trailer because scissor jacks do not lift the trailer like landing gear jacks do. Also you will use more than 1 scissor jack to stabilize the trailer. From my research your 2019 Aspen Trail 2480RBS only weighs around 5,000 lbs unloaded.

Most people install the scissor jacks on the 4 corners of the trailer frame as long as you have enough room to install them which seems to be the best method for stabilization. Since you do not have existing scissor jacks on the trailer now, you will need to drill through the frame to install them or have a welder weld them on which is the easiest way.

The Stromberg Carlson Stabilizers will work great for you but the etrailer.com quantity of 4 scissor jacks part # TJSCHD-24-4 is a more cost effective option because they already come with the crank handle which you have to purchase separately with the other options. Also the etrailer.com quality is just as good as the Stromberg Carlson option. You may interested in self-tapping screw part # FA1131822 if you plan on bolting them on.
