Is It Possible to Determine What Brake Assemblies a Trailer Would Need Without Taking Them Apart

Question:

want to start getting parts to re build the brake system on my trailer. its a dual axle trailer with 15 inch wheels for a 25 foot boat. seems to have a 4 bolt mounting flange with the brakes. is there a way to tell what size brakes i have without pulling it apart? Id like to get all the parts before taking it apart.

With the diameter of the drums and the amount of mounting bolts I can safely determine what assemblies you'd need. For example, the # T4071600-500 is the correct kit for you if your 4 bolt assemblies also are 10 inches in diameter.

Hello, I have a 2003 Aljo lite 249lt. 14" 5 lug wheels. Online specs say it has 3900 dry axle weight. Any idea what size wheel bearings and brake kits it would take? Thanks

I wish I could verify what bearings are used on your hubs, but there are a couple of possible combinations. So your best bet will be to actually pull one of the existing hub assemblies and check for the bearing numbers, which should be stamped right inside the bearings themselves. If you can let me know this info I will be happy to recommend the right kit.
