Troubleshooting Bolts Not Fitting When Installing Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch on a 2008 Nissan Rogue
Question:
I bought a draw tite hitch and went to put it on but the bolts that came with it won’t go in like they’re to big for the nuts in the frame

If you are having trouble getting the hardware to install for your Draw-Tite trailer hitch then what you need to do is soak the bolt holes with WD40, wait for a few minutes to let it set in, and then use a wire brush like part # 814113 to clean out any dirt or debris. This isn't very uncommon especially on vehicles that are a little older.
Another thing to check is to make sure that you have the correct trailer hitch for your vehicle. If you are trying to install a hitch on the 2008 Nissan Rogue that you put into the fitguide then your trailer hitch number is either # 75902 for a 2" or # 36542 for a 1-1/4". Installation videos have been linked for each that you can check out.
