Where Should Reese Bolt On Chain Hangers Install on Frame of Trailer
Question:
would I have a problem if I mounted these 1/4inch up from the bottom edge of my camper frame, as long as I have at least 5 chain links or more? I did not have the directions which say to mount 1/2inch down from the top of the frame

Reese recommends that when you install the bolt on chain hangers part # RP58305 that they sit 1/4 inch down from the top of the frame if the frame is a box frame or 1/2 inch down if it's a c-channel. It is important you follow these instructions. If you already installed them in the wrong location you should reinstall them where they need to go.
