Economically Priced Snow Tire chains for 2019 Subaru Forester Sport
Question:
Hi, I have a 2019 forester sport and I’m looking for tire chains that will fit. Owner’s manual mentions spring chains and I’m not sure what that means. It also says to put chains only on front wheels. Do I need to purchase only 1 pair and place on the front tires only? Or I should order 2 pairs and use on all 4? An expert on here recommended chains that are more than $400 dollar that don’t go over the top of the tire but I can’t afford those. Would any other chains work? What about glacier chains? Is it safe to use them on all 4 wheels? Please, help. Thank you,

Since your owners manual recommends tire chains only on the front wheels you'd only need to buy one set and install them on the front axle. You'll want something that is Class S compatible which means it will not require as much clearance to fit. The best option would be then the Titan chains part # TC1553 which we actually installed on a similar 2015 Subaru Forester to your 2019 model (see picture). I attached an install video for these for you to check out as well. The price on these are great, they install easily, and provide great traction.
These fit both tire sizes for your vehicle 225/60-17 or 225/55-18.
