Question:
1997 Military M1101 trailer. I wish to replace the current hydraulic brakes with electric brakes. Can you direct me to the proper kit?

I will need to know more about the brakes currently on your trailer. First, measure the inside diameter and width of one of the hub and drum assemblies. The width is the just the width where the brake shoe pad makes contact with the inside of the drum.
I will also need to know the mounting pattern of the existing brakes (4 bolts, 5 bolts, other, and the spacing between the holes from the center of one to the center of the next).
If the hub and drum assemblies has any markings or numbers let me know what those are as well. Also what is the axle capacity? This information may be on the axle itself or on the ID plate for the trailer. If not then I would need to know the diameter of the axle (if it is round). And if the axle is not round then let me know the inner and outer bearing numbers stamped into the sides of the bearings.
I have included some pictures that will help and a link to a help article that covers parts needed to add electric brakes to a trailer. Note that some of the items, such as brake mounting flanges, will already be on your trailer.
