Platform Bike Rack Recommendation for 2001 Audi S4
Question:
I am considering installing a Curt hitch receiver so that I can use a hitch bike rack for my 2001 Audi S4. By the way, thank you so much for the video on installing it on that particular model and year! What hitch bike racks do you recommend I like choices? I am thinking that the platform racks will give more support than the hanging hitch racks?

Platform bike racks have a few advantages. They are much easier to load/unload, they hold the bikes in a way that doesn't allow any movement like a hanging rack, and they don't require the use of an adapter bar when carrying a womens or alternative framed bike.
For a bike rack I really like the Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack # HLY94FR.
This is a platform bike rack that only weighs 20 lbs. The biggest drawback to platform bike racks has always been the weight of them, but with this rack you get the best of both worlds. The preferred attachment style with the lighter weight. Platform racks like this are also very easy to load and unload.
The Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202 is a great rack too but it weighs a bit more at 45 lbs mainly because this rack has a ramp that lets you load your bikes with no lifting required and has built-in handles and wheels for easy transport.
The recommended Curt hitch for your 2001 Audi A4 is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4", part # C11169.
