Can Pro Series Hitch Cargo Carrier # 63155 Fit a Class III Hitch on a 2010 Toyota Venza
Question:
Can I use a hitch adapter to allow this to fit in a class 3 hitch? If not, are the 60 inch wide cargo carriers too wide for a 2010 toyota venza?

You can use a hitch reducer like the Brophy Hitch Reducer, part # HT02, in your class III 2 inch hitch to reduce the 2 inch opening to a 1-1/4 inch opening. The hitch reducer will have a maximum tongue weight capacity of 300 lbs, which is the same weight capacity as the Pro Series Hitch Cargo Carrier, part # 63155.
The hitch reducer comes with a 1/2 inch pin and clip to hold your 1-1/4 inch cargo carrier. You will need to order a hitch pin or lock such as the Hidden Hitch pin and clip, part # PC, to hold your reducer to your 2 inch hitch.
You can find the towing and tongue weight capacities of your 2010 Toyota Venza by looking in the owners manual. Remember the maximum weight capacity is determined by the lowest rated part in the the whole cargo carrier system (vehicle, hitch, reducer, and cargo carrier).
I looked up the width of the 2010 Toyota Venza and it said 75 inches, so you should be able to install a 60 inch wide cargo carrier on your vehicle. When looking at cargo carriers to fit your Venza you will want to make sure the measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to the carrier platform is long enough to give you the clearance needed to fit the rear of your vehicle.
I am including a link to a list of the 20 x 60 cargo carriers and the 24 x 60 cargo carriers that will fit a class III 2 Inch hitch.
