Where to Install the Converter Box In a Flat Towing Situation with a 3-Wire RV and 2-Wire Toad

Question:

When using the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire, where exactly do I splice in the RM-732 to convert the RV separate lighting to the towed vehicle combined lighting? Does the RM732 convertor go on the RV side before the 7wire plug in, or on the Jeep side as the first initial wires attached to the 6 wire plug? I hate to mess with the RV wiring and prefer to avoid such if at all possible would like all wiring alterations on Jeep only.

The Roadmaster Brite-Lite Wiring Converter part # RM-732 will need to be installed on the RV in between the taillights wiring harness and the trailer connector plug since your RV has a 3-wire system and your Jeep has a 2-wire.

Unfortunately, we do not have specific installation instructions for your 2002 Jeep Wrangler, but I have attached a very easy to use diagrams that will show you how to install the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit part # RM-15267 on your Jeep and the Roadmaster Brite-Lite Wiring Converter on your RV.

You will need to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2992 to determine the correct wire functions. Should you need additional help with installation please let me know and I would be glad to help.
