Will Glacier Tire Cables PW3029C Fit 2016 Ram 1500 2WD with Tire Size 275/60-20

Question:

Hello, I have a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd Crew cab with 275-60-20 tires. The manufacturers book says dont use tire chains, but I see in the video for these pw3029c tire chains that you put them on the exact vehicle same blue color even!. Anyway, do these chains actually clear the minimal distance on the inside wheel that seems to be a problem with regular chains? After placement were they actually tested on the truck? I would hate to lose my vehicle warranty because these arent appropriate or cause damage.

When we installed the Glacier Tire Chains part # PW3029C on a 2016 Ram 1500 just like yours we found that they fit well and did not have any clearance issues at all. That being said, we have to recommend you officially stick with what your owners manual states since Ram is who will honor your warranty.

In situations like this we have found that typically the best people for you to call is a Ram dealer in an area that has a tire chain requirement like an area near mountains and ask them what they recommend. Typically they'll have a solution that works out for everyone.
