Is Silicone and Adhesive Used to Install a Roof Trailer Vent on a Rubber Roof

I purchased this a few weeks ago from etrailer and am just getting to the installation. Do y put a bead of adhesive between the upper shroud and he rubber roof to secure it before using the silicone sealant?

No, you would not have to use adhesive between the roof and the Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - Manual Lift - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" Item # FV802250 during installation. In fact it is possible that an adhesive and the silicone may not be compatible with each other and could lead to one or both breaking down.
We actually have an installation kit for rubber roofs. It is Camco RV Vent Installation Kit - Rubber Roofs or Sidewalls - White Butyl Tape Item # CAM25013. Instead of silicone it uses butyl tape.
