Ball Mount with 4 or 5 Inch Rise for a 1-1/4 InchCurt Hitch on a 2016 Honda HR-V
Question:
Going to install a Curt hitch on a 2016 HRV. I know that I will need at least a 4-5inch rise ball mount to make it so trailer is level going down the road empty. Was wondering if you could tell me the length Id need to clear the bumper?? I know it goes from hitch pin hole to ball mount hole.

For the Curt hitch # C11416 the recommended ball mount is # C45521 which is 7-1/4 inches long. So as far as length goes the average on the recommended mounts is about 7 inches but it can be longer. The rise on these recommended ball mounts isn't enough though.
For a 4 inch rise you could use # 3594. For a 5 inch rise use # 36065. And for either ball mount you can use # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch ball or # 19258 for a 2 inch ball.
For a trailer wiring harness you can use # 118673 to add a 4-Way flat connector to the rear of your HR-V. I have linked videos showing example installations of the hitches for you.
