For the 2008 BMW 5 Series Sedan the only hitch we have available is the Curt Class I Hitch, item # C114983. This is a 1-1/4 inch receiver hitch with 2,000 lbs towing capacity and 200 lbs tongue weight capacity which is the same as the hitch for the wagon that you referred to.
The Curt Class I Hitch, item # C11194, hitch is designed for the 2008 BMW 5 Series Wagon and will not fit the Sedan models.
At this time our suppliers do not offer a 2 inch receiver hitch for the 2008 BMW 5 Series.
