Weight Distribution System Recommendation without a Shank for 2-1/2 Inch Trailer Hitch
Question:
I am looking at the Curt c17052 WD hitch system. Donthey make a package that comes with a 2.5inch shank or a package that comes with no shank and I can order the 2.5inch shank? Seems silly to pay for a shank youll never use. Thanks!

All of the Curt weight distribution systems come with a shank but for a similar system that does not come with a shank I recommend Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control - Round - 10,000 lbs GTW - Without Shank Item # FA94-00-1033.
Then you could add a 2-1/2 inch shank such as # EQ90-02-4800, or a similar shank. You will also need a ball, # 19286. I have also included some links on determining tongue weight and weight distribution for you.
