Can a Front-Mount Hitch and Adapter be Used to Push a Trailer Into Tight Spots?
Question:
How would this item BX88132 mate up with a 65078 front receiver hitch that is already installed on the front of my Silverado 2500? I am terrible backing up my 25 foot trailer. Hoping this combination will allow me to push the trailer into tight spots. Will it work? Thank you

You certainly aren't alone having a bit of trouble backing up a long trailer. Using a front-mounted hitch is fine, but the Blue Ox adapter, # BX88132, is designed for flat-towing so it isn't going to work for you. What you can do instead is attach a fixed ball mount, and the Draw-Tite # 80248 is going to give you 9-3/4" of rise.
Please keep in mind that the Draw-Tite has has a max gross towing weight (GTW) of 3,500 lbs and max tongue weight (TW) of 350 lbs in the rise position. If you need a bit more rise, there is also the Convert-A-Ball, # AMSC12, which is going to give you a rise of 10-3/4" and has a GVW of 7,000 lbs and a TW of 2,000 lbs.
For a pin and clip, you can use the Draw-Tite # PC3, and depending on what you need, either a 2" hitch ball, # 40038, or a 2-5/16" hitch ball, # C40007.

I have a small teardrop and need to push it up a narrow upslope driveway. What products would I need to create a front mounted push tow bar for my Subaru Outback 2017?
