I called my contact at Thule and they informed me that the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the furthest part of the Thule Hitching Post Pro part # TH934XTR is 41-1/2". In order to carry a bike rack on the rear of your vehicle while hauling a trailer, I recommend using the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount part # D210.
You may also want to consider the Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock and Anti-Rattle Device part # THSTL2 as this will not only help control the stability of the rack but also provide a locking mechanism to deter theft.
