Will this lock S64029 fit thule 990 bike rack? What is the specification pitch or size of the thread?

The hitch pin lock you will need for your Thule 990 bike rack is the Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock and Anti-Rattle Device, part # THSTL2. Most bike rack manufacturers will design the hitch locks to fit their products only. The threads are unique to that manufacturers bike racks and the dimensions of the bolt will vary.

The Swagman Locking Anti-Rattle, Threaded Hitch Pin for Swagman Hitch Racks, part # S64029 will only fit the Swagman brand bike racks. The # S64029 will work with all Swagman racks that have a 1-1/4 inch or 1-1/4 and 2 inch adjustable shank. This pin will not work in other brands of bike racks or in the 2 inch only Swagman bike racks. I spoke with my contact at Swagman and he did not know the size of the thread on the hitch lock.
