Is Angle Or clearance An Issue When Installing Winch On Front Of 2012 Nissan Frontier

Question:

I would like to add a winch to my front end but the bolt on hitches look like they reduce the approach angle and reduce the front end clearance. What had been your experience with winches for offroad use. I have a 2012 Nissan Frontier 4x4

The receiver opening for the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch # 65075 does sit below the front bumper. We haven't heard from any customers regarding the angle when they are using the hitch, but have had favorable reviews from customers.

If you use a winch mounting plate like part # C31010, the winch will sit a little higher than the receiver opening and may not be an issue at all. we also have a winch mounting plate # BDW20011. The winches these are designed to work with are listed on the product page for the mounts.
