Shank Option for 2-1/2 inch Hitch Used with Strait Line Weight Distribution

Question:

I need a lower shank to adjust for my new truck. Looking for options. My current shank is a 54970 with what appears to be the 58167 head for my weight distribution trunnion with dual cams. I need 2 addtl inches lower from my current lowest setting. My current head assembly only shows a casting number 113802 Rev. C. Assume this is 58167? Please confirm if 54977 shank will work with my head assemby? My receiver is now also 2 1/2, but will use a reducer sleeve if necessary. Open to any other options... Thanks,

We can help you find a shank that offers a drop that is 2 inches lower than the part # RP54970 that you have. The part # RP54977 though cannot be used with weight distribution heads that use serrated washers to change the angle of the bars like the part # RP58167 that you have.

The part # EQ90-02-4900 is a fit for 2-1/2 inch hitches like you have and will offer around 5 inches more of a drop than what you have.

Or for more drop we have the part # C17123 but it fits a 2 inch hitch so you'd need a sleeve adapter like part # C45405 which will naturally add a little more play to your system which isn't ideal.
