Signal Lights not Working on Towed 2012 Honda CR-V when Brake Light is On
Question:
Hi, I bought the Hopkins hm56304 tail light wiring kit for my Honda CR-V 2012. Installed as directed. But, I have an Air Force one braking system. I have no brake lights on the crv unless I have the air system hooked up. And then when I hook up air system and hit the brakes, I have no blinkers on the crv. I think the peddle being depressed on the tow vehicle pushes down pedal in crv and activates the factory brake lights. This interferes with the blinkers from the tow vehicle through Hopkins tail light kit. Any ideas? I am hitting the road tomorrow morning so need help as quick as possible. Thanks

We have exactly what you will need to resolve the brake and signal light issues you are experiencing when towing your 2012 Honda CR-V.
You will just need to install the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit # RM-88400. This is needed on your vehicle to keep the CR-V's brake signal from overriding the turn signal sent by the RV. This will not interfere with your vehicle's electrical system and will automatically activate when the RV running lights are turned on.
I have attached an installation video on the 2014 Honda CR-V for you to check out.
