Trailer Hitch Receiver Cargo Carrier with Light Kit for 2017 GMC
Question:
I have a 2017 GMC Denali with the factory installed tow pkg, I may need to buy trailer hitch luggage carrier. Do the carriers come with lights and a wire harness. I watched one of your videos where they took off the bumper to install a wiring connector. Would I have to do that if the carrier doesnt come with lights and I were to install lights on the carrier myself?

Expert Reply:
We have some hitch mounted cargo carriers that are designed to have a light kit added to them. The light kit # 20174 or # 98174LED (LED lights) installs onto carriers like Pro Series # 63153 and # 63155. The # e98874 has light kit # e98943-44LED. It plugs directly into a 4-way trailer connector on the back of your truck so there's no reason to remove the bumper.
We also have some enclosed cargo carriers, like # HGK819, that have the light kit already included with them.
