Will Curt Trailer Hitch # C11377 Work with Class II Bike Rack on 2016 Mazda 3

Question:

Hi, Can you please tell me if the Curt 11377 hitch for the Mazda 3 has a welded stop or anything that would prevent an accessory bike rack from sliding back in the receiver. Ive read on the etrailer site that the Curt Class 1 hitches DO NOT have any type of stop hindering the receiver. Is the above hitch hollowinch all the way through the receiver hole? I want to verify because I have an old 1 1/4inch bike rack, but it needs at least 2inch of shank length beyond the hitch pin hole. The rack is light weight and only carries one bike, so the overall weight is not an issue. Thanks for your help.

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11377 for your 2016 Mazda 3 does not have any kind of stop inside its opening that would prevent a Class II Bike Rack from sliding in. Some trailer hitch manufacturers do make their Class I hitches with this stop in place in order to prevent overloading the hitch, however Curt is not one of them.

As long as the bike rack you are looking to attach is able to fit 1-1/4 inch trailer hitch openings, you will not have a problem.
