Will Pollak 7 and 4-Way Trailer Connector # HM40975 as a Factory Replacement on 2003 Ford F-250
Question:
I have a 2003 Ford F250. Can I use HM40975 as a factory replacement for my existing 7 and 4 pin truck side connector? This product looks better than the stock unit. Will extension brackets 18136 or 18140 work with this plug and bracket? Thanks

Yes, you can use the Pollak 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket, part # HM40975, on your 2003 Ford F-250 as replacement 4 and 7-way connector. Part # HM40975 will plug directly into your existing 7-way harness on your Ford truck.
Part # HM40975, includes a mounting bracket, but you can use the No-Drill Mount Bracket, part # C57202 or part # 18140, if you use a small washer with each bolt and nut.
I would also recommend using Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors, part # 11755, to use with the connections you make.
I have linked a video installation on a different vehicle, but the process is the same and will provide a good reference.
