How to Select Replacement Grease Seals for Tandem Axle Snowmobile Trailer

Question:

Hi. I hope this is the correct place to ask my question. I am trying to get axle seals for my snowmobile trailer. My trailer is a 2011 Aluma 22 foot trailer with tandom 2200 pound dexter ez lube axles. The number found in the middle of the axle tube is LN 122614352. These are torsion axles. Also I believe they are a 7 inch drum and they are a 5 lug design. Can you help me figure out what the seal I need for this? Thank you for your time!

You came to the right place. We offer a wide range of replacement parts like grease seals, bearings, and related items.

The easiest way to identify a replacement grease seal is to pull one of the existing seals from the spindle to find its part number (or to measure it with a caliper like # PTW80157). You can search our site directly using the part number, such as 10-60. This seal is used on 2200-lb axles like # 20545I-EZ-72-10. This seal has an inner diameter of 1.50-inches and an outer diameter of 1.987-inches. Please refer to the linked photo for the usual appearance of a seal part number.

If a part number is not available you can measure the hub bore (to determine the seal's outer diameter) and the spindle diameter - location B in the linked photo - (to determine the seal's inner diameter). You can then click on those dimensions on the linked seal page to see suitable seals.
