Recommended Trailer Hitch Wiring and Towing Accessories For 2009 Nissan Murano
Question:
Does this hitch have a wiring plug to a 7-way plug? If it doesnt, what hitch do you recommend? We will need the wiring harness to go with it. What else do we need to complete the job. We have a 2009 Nissan Murano.

I can recommend a hitch, wiring, and additional accessories that you will need to complete your towing setup on your 2009 Nissan Murano, but all of our hitches and wiring are sold separately. The hitch you referred to, the etrailer # e65AR is a fit for your Murano.
For wiring, you will need Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, part # 118653 to have a 4-way connector at the rear of your vehicle. If the trailer in question doesn't have brakes, you'd just need a simple adapter # 37185. If the trailer has brakes, you'd be better off using our Brake Controller Install Kit, part # ETBC7. You'd also need to choose a brake controller. I'd recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885. The P2 is one of our all-time best seller that's very simple to use.
To mount the 7-way connector to your hitch, you will need, No-Drill Mount Bracket, part # C57202 which will mount to your hitch and Mounting Bracket, part # RM-910030-5. Together part # C57202 and part # 118137 will hold your 7-way connector at the rear of your vehicle.
To complete your towing setup you will also need a ball mount, pin and clip, and hitch ball.
For a ball mount, I would recommend Curt Ball Mount, part # C45010, which has a 3/4 inch drop or 2 inch rise, you will need to measure to see how much of a rise or drop you will need (see ball mount FAQ).
For pin and clip, you can use Pin and Clip For Class III, IV and V Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # PC3, or you could use Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock, part # e98880, to keep your draw bar locked to your hitch.
For a hitch ball, you will need to find out what size trailer coupler you have, depending on which coupler you have, you will need 1-7/8 Inch Hitch Ball, part # 19260, or 2 Inch Hitch Ball, part # 19247.
We also have available Ball Mount Kit, part # 989900, which includes 2 ball mounts, a pin and clip, a 1-7/8 Inch Hitch Ball,a 2 Inch Hitch Ball, as well as a bag to carry everything in.
When towing, your towing setup is only as strong as its lowest rated component. You will want to make sure not to exceed the tongue weight and towing capacity of your hitch and vehicle.
I have linked instructions for the Trailer Hitch and an FAQ on ball mounts. I have also linked instructions and install videos for the hitch, wiring and brake controller.
