Tire Chain Recommendation for a 2015 Mercedes Sprinter 3500 Dually with 215/85R16 Tires
Question:
Greetings, Is it recommended to install cable chains opposed to the chain type to my duel LT215/85R16 rear tires on my Mercedes 3500 Sprinter Winnebago View RV and if so which model do you suggest.

If you are going to use cable style tire chains on dually wheels then they will need to only go on the outer 2 tires on your 2015 Mercedes Sprinter 3500. The reason for this is because it would be nearly impossible to get cable style chains on the inner 2 tires.
If it were me I would use regular chains and just on the outer tires. You don't have to spend a lot of money for regular chains; especially if you won't be using them often. Chains such as # PWH2219SC will fit the 215/85R16 tires you have and they have a low price point so they are great for infrequent use and will be easier to install than chains that fit on both dually tires.
If you will be using chains frequently I recommend going with a more robust set with square links such as # PWE2219S. Square links offer the best traction. Be sure to consult the vehicle owner's manual for additional information on the use of tire chains.
