Replacement LED-Type Lights for Peterson M413S Lights

Question:

I have a customer with a 2006 Chevy Silverado 3500 with a utility box on the back. It has Peterson #M413S stop/tail/turn lamp housings. What is needed to convert to LED lights and what parts are required? Thanks.

We do offer a wide range of LED-type trailer stop/turn/tail lighting products that you can see by clicking on the included link. The Peterson M413S light is a round light with a 3-hole mounting flange similar to # STL42RB that you referenced.

You can confirm this item will be a direct-fit replacement by comparing the 5-1/2-inch overall diameter to your light. The three mounting holes are spaced at 4-1/4-inches on their centers.

These lights use a 3-prong pigtail plug. Use part # A45PB for a straight plug or part # A47PB for a right-angle plug.

Sometimes an LED light that replaces a standard incandescent light may require a load resistor kit like # DI34ZR. These can be needed if the wiring system is "looking" for the typically much higher resistance of an incandescent light. Without load resistors some LED lights will hyperflash (flash at a fast rate).
