Quality of Titan # TC1555 Snow Tire Chains for a 2007 Honda Odyssey
Question:
I was about to order the TC1555 chain for my Honda Odyssey 2007. Then I discovered that there are a number of chains out there that look exactly the same or very similar to the TC1555. For example the GudCraft High Quality Passenger Car Snow Chain 12mminch online for under $40. This particular chain has bad reviews. Can you confirm that the TC1555 is of a higher quality?

Both chains are manufactured overseas in China. The folks at Gudcraft tell me that their tire chains are constructed of galvanized steel. The Titan chains use a manganese/ nickel alloy for strength, durability and corrosion resistance. Although the chains might appear similar, the Titan chains are constructed of higher quality components.
Titan backs their chains with a 30 day warranty. As you can see by the reviews of our customers, the # TC1555 chains received an excellent rating.
Before purchasing tire chains, you'll want to consult your owner's manual and abide by any recommendations or prohibitions offered by Honda. Due to the limited clearance to the inside of the wheel, you'll want to use a Class S rated chain like the # TC1555. A class S chain will extend to the inside of the wheel by 15mm or less.
You'll also want to do a dry run installing the chains in the safety of your driveway or garage. That way, if you need to install them while you're out on the road, you'll be familiar enough with the process to get the chains installed quickly.
I've also linked you to an FAQ article about tire chains that you might find helpful.
