Is the Y8890174 2 inch hitch adapter for an older Yakima 2 bike 1.25 inch bar? I need a 2 inch hitch adapter for an older Yakima ROC 2.

I spoke with my contact at Yakima about your older model Yakima ROC bike rack. The # Y8890174, that you referenced, is designed to fit the Yakima FlipSide or StikUp bike racks only.

For the older model Yakima ROC bike racks there is no longer an adapter made by the manufacturer. An alternative option for you would be the Brophy Hitch Reducer 2 inch to 1-1/4 inch # HT02. This adapter will allow you to use your 1-1/4 inch bike rack shank with a 2 inch hitch receiver on your vehicle.

I have good news for you! This particular Yakima Replacement Sleeve #Y8890342 will work with your Yakima HighLite2. It was only the Yakima DoubleDown hanging racks that were made before 2014 that will not work with this adapter.
