Wiring Harness Needed To Provide Connection Point for 7-way Adapter on 2012 Jeep Liberty
Question:
I purchased a Hopkins trailer plug that can accomodate both types of plugs 7 blade and T I need to know what wire harness I need to hook this up to my 2013 Jeep Liberty 4x4. Out of the back it has 3 wires, brown, yellow and green with a T connector 1 ft. long. 4 heavier gauge wires also, black, purple and blue have yellow wire connectors attached to them and the white wire has a metal loop attached to it. I need the kit/harness that will work with this unit.

It sounds like you're describing a 4-pole to 7-way adapter like part # 37185. The adapter would attach to a 4-pole trailer connector on your Liberty. If you don't already have a 4-pole connector on your vehicle, you can install one using part # 118554. You can see install instructions and an install video by clicking the provided link.
The adapter would plug into the 4 pole once it's installed, and the remaining wires leading off the adapter would attach as follows:
White wire grounds to vehicle frame
Black wire runs to positive battery terminal via 40 amp breaker # 9510
Blue wire runs to passenger cab to connect to blue wire exiting rear of brake controller
Purple wire connects to reverse light circuit of tow vehicle
If your trailer doesn't have brakes and has no need for 12-volt auxiliary power or reverse lamps, you don't have to connect the blue, black or purple wire. Only use the ones you need. The ground wire is the only one that would absolutely need to be connected.
If your trailer does have electric brakes, you would need a brake controller to actuate them. The Prodigy P2, part # 90885 is recommended, because of how well it works and how simple it is to use. You'd also need the # 5506 brake controller installation kit, which includes all the wire, hardware and circuit breakers needed to complete the installation.
I've linked you to installation instructions and an install video you might find helpful.
