Adding 7-Way Trailer Connector and Brake Controller to 2006 Nissan Pathfinder with 4-Way

Question:

I have a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder that has a 4 pin connection. What do I need to buy to convert to a 7 blade and also have trailer brakes?

To add a 7-Way trailer connector to your 2006 Nissan Pathfinder you will need harness # 118267. Then for a brake controller I recommend the P2 # 90885 because it is easy to set up and use and it is reliable. For a harness you will need # 3050-P.

It is possible that you will need some additional relays and/or fuses to make everything fully functional.

For your Pathfinder the connectors are at the same location (behind bumper on drivers side frame) but the gray connector is actually an 8-pin connector. The 118267 harnesses use a 6-pin connector. Out contact at Tow Ready said they have been working on a harness that will work for that situation but it is not available yet. The solution has been to splice in the wires from the gray connector on # 118267 to the wires going into the gray connector on the vehicle side.
