Reese Cargo Carrier For a 2011 Sorento
Question:
I have a 2011 Kia Sorento with a class 2 1 1/4 hitch installed. Would the Reese carrier 20x47 work for me? My hitch is elevated about 11 inches off the ground? Sorry - Im new to all this. From the shipping weights it seems the carrier weighs about 40 pounds more. Thank you

I would highly recommend the 20x47 Reese Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4 inch Trailer Hitches, # 63155. This carrier not only gives you a 3 inch rise from the top of the hitch opening, but also 11 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the nearest part of the carrier.
You can also put in an optional light kit, # 20174, if your cargo obstructs the taillights on your 2011 Kia Sorento. I have included a video of this kit below.
I also recommend a locking hitch pin, like Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock - Flush Design, # e98879, to deter theft.
The actual weight of the carrier will be very close to the shipping weight, but slightly lower to account for shipping materials. The 63155 carrier weighs about 43 pounds.
