Recommended Replacement Bearing Kit For Dutton-Lainson Electric Clutch Winch

My electric strong arm wench has worked great for the past five years. However, lately it stops pulling the last few feet up the trailer. Motor is running but it wont pull boat while on ramps incline. I have to drive up to level ground to pull the last few feet. Suggestions?

It sounds like the thrust bearings may be bad on your Dutton-Lainson TW400 StrongArm Electric Winch, part # DL25200.

I have attached the installation instructions and in the instructions there is an exploded view of the winch and its components. My contact at Dutton-Lainson told me that they are 99 percent sure the thrust bearings are bad. We do have a replacement kit that includes the bearings, the washers and a retaining clip. That kit is part # DL6381.

This kit should take care of the problem with the winch failing to pull the last few feet.
