Recommended Trailer Hitch for a 2013 Ford Escape SE for use with a Hitch Bike Rack
Question:
Good Afternoon, I am deciding on a hitch for a bike carrier on a 2013 Ford Escape SE. I found # 75758 ...will it require drilling, enlarging holes, or trimming fascia? Id like to install myself and only have basic mechanical skills. Please let me know when you get a moment, thank you!

No drilling is necessary or trimming fascia on the Draw-Tite # 75758, and the instructions will be included or you can view the instruction links. I included installation videos for the hitch on a 2013 Ford Escape.
You may need to use a burr bit or file to enlarge the access hole if needed. It's very easy and take a look at the video for the 2015 Ford Escape at the 2 minute 12 second mark.
The Draw-Tite Class-III trailer hitch # 75758 has a 525 pound tongue weight and 3,500 pound towing maximum capacity.
If you plan on doing any towing the custom wiring is Tow Ready # 118566 and provides a 4-pole flat connector for your Escape. I also recommend the ball mount kit # 989891 because it will include 2 trailer hitch balls (1-7/8 inch and 2-inch), ball mount with 3/4 inch rise or 2-inch drop, pin and clip, and a storage bag.
In addition to the installation videos, I added a video review for the ball mount kit and some informative articles for you to look at. I think you will be just fine installing it yourself.
If you would like any recommendations on a hitch bike rack let me know as I would be more than happy to assist.
