Bolt Locking Hitch Pin Will No Longer Open with Vehicle Key
Question:
I purchased this Bolt lock for my receiver less than a year ago and it worked great until yesterday. It is no longer reading my key to open the lock. I need to get this off of my vehicle right away in order to attach something I need for this upcoming Friday. I am not happy thinking that I may need to have this pins cut off both wasting my money on the purchase and the labour to have it removed. I really would appreciate your help

I spoke with my contact at Bolt about the problem you are having. The first thing you can try is spraying some WD40 down inside the lock through the key hole and let it sit for about 1 hour. My contact said this usually helps a lot when a lock is froze up.
The worst case scenario is that the lock would have to be cut off using an angle grinder or similar tool. Should there be no other option other than to forcibly remove the lock my contact stated that it would be covered under warranty.
