Availability of Hitch for 2011 Nissan Murano That Does Not Require Removal of Rear Fascia Panel
Question:
Hello. Are there any hitches that do not require removal of the valance panel. Id like to retain the support features for the rear panel

Expert Reply:
All of the 2-inch Class III hitches offered for your 2011 Nissan Murano will use the same frame mounting points for installation, but the version of the vehicle will determine which hitches are suitable. Installation procedures can vary slightly depending on whether or not you have the Cross Cabriolet version.
The link provided has a drop-down menu to let you choose which version Murano you have and to see the hitch options that fit.
Curt hitch # 13577 fits both versions and requires no trimming of the vehicle panels, only lowering of the exhaust for better access to the mounting points and temporary removal of the tie-down bracket. The complete written instruction sheet for this hitch is linked for your review along with an install video. Two helpful hitch installation article are included also.
