How to Install Stairs for Lance 835 Truck Bed Camper That Are Usable When a Trailer Is Hitched
Question:
Im looking for stairs for my Lance 835 camper. 8foot bed with no overhang. I dont want to have to unhook my horse trailer and dont seem to be able to find stairs that will allow for entrance with the trailer hooked up. Or is there another way? Help is appreciated.

We offer a range of accessory steps for trucks which include hitch-mount, tailgate-mount and other types that can be seen on the link provided. Since you want to be able to install a step for entry into your camper while your horse trailer is hitched you have a bit of a challenge but we do have a solution for you.
If you have a 2-inch receiver on your truck and if your trailer does not weigh more than 7500-lbs you can use the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount # D210 in the truck's receiver. You would then install your hitch ball with 1-inch shank in the bottom portion and you could then use a hitch-mount step such as the WeatherTech BumpStep # WT81BS1. Please refer to the linked video. Other options include the Pilot Round Tube Stainless Steel Trailer Hitch Receiver Step # CR-600.
We also offer the Bestop Trek Step # B75305 that bolts on to your OEM bumper. They offer versions for various trucks; the part referenced above fits Toyota Tundra truck but others are available as well.
