Location of a Trailer Brake Controller Port on a 2005 Toyota Tundra with Factory Tow Package
Question:
I would like to install a trailer brake controler on my 2005 Tundra. Heres the problem- I purchased the truck new and it has the tow package on it with the 7 pin connector in the back. It came with the connector wire to go under the dash. There is no connector for it to connect into. I have check taken everything apart and seen all the photos where it should be. I have done this before to other trucks. So if I get a controller I need to know where to tap into what wires to connect it up. Do you have anything if I get a controller from you?

Your tow package port on your 2005 Toyota Tundra will either be above the emergency brake pedal (even taped to it), or behind the kick plate panel to the left of the emergency brake pedal. The connector should be white. See the installation video on the 2006 Toyota Tundra I included as it will be the closest to your truck.
If you don't have a brake controller yet, I highly recommend going with the Tekonsha P3 # 90195 because its one of the most popular and highest rated brake controllers we currently offer. It has a LCD display and it will be very user friendly.
If you have the 7-way connector at the rear of your Tundra, the plug in wiring adapter is # 3040-P. I know you have looked everywhere for the built-in port, but I do think it's there just taped up pretty good.
If it's not there, hardwiring the brake controller will be necessary. To hardwire, you will need # 5506. The brake controller wiring harness colors are black (connect to 12-volt battery via 20-amp circuit breaker), red (connect to cold side of stop light switch), white (ground) and blue (connect to the 7-way connector on your truck and splice into wire at the 5 o'clock position or looking from the backside it's the 7 o'clock position). See the diagram I included regarding the 7-way connector.
I included a couple informative articles and installation videos for you.
